Eaadhar card download | Aadhar card is a biometric based identification card issued by the Govt. of India for each Indian citizen. An aadhar is 12 digits unique numbers printed on the both side of the aadhar card. Apart from the aadhar no. this card also holds information like Name, date of birth, sex, phone number and address of the holder.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) which act under NITI aayog, issues aadhar card and maintains the database on behalf of Govt. of India. To get the aadhar card one can visit nearest aadhar center/ bank/ post office and get the enrolment number or virtual id or acknowledgement number provided by the UIDAI.

After getting enrolment ID (EID), you can download e aadhar card anywhere anytime. Process of e aadhar card download can be different. These are described below:

Download e-aadhar card using aadhaar number

To download E-Aadhar card using the aadhar number, follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Aadhar by entering https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in in your browser. Below window will open.

Step 2: Select the Aadhar option on the “Enter your Personal Details” section.

Step 3: Select “Regular Aadhar” option from “Select your preference option”. Alternatively you can select  “Masked Aadhar” option if you don’t want to print the full digits of Aadhar.

Step 3: Now enter aadhar Number, Name and pin code in their respective section.

Step 4: Enter the security number as mentioned in the screen. In this example it is “svhdq”.

Step 5: Click on Request OTP to get the one time password on your mobile. Alternatively you can select “Yes, I have TOTP. Do not send me OTP.” in case you have m-aadhar mobile app installed in your mobile.

Step 6: Now click on the “I Agree” to provide your personal information for authentication.

Step 7: Click on “Confirm” to send the OTP to your mobile number registered with UIDAI.

Step 8: Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click on “Download Aadhar” option to download the  Aadhar card.

Step 9: Once you downloaded E-Aadhar in your system open it using any of the pdf reader.

Step 10: It will ask for password. The password for the pdf file is first four letters of your name in capital and your year of birth. Suppose your name is Rajesh and your year of birth is 1995 then your password is RAJE1995.

Download E-Aadhar card using Enrolment ID

You can download E Aadhar card using enrolment ID as well. You need to follow the below steps to download Aadhar card:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Aadhar by entering https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in in your browser. The Above window will open.

Step 2: Select the Enrolment ID in “I Have” section.

Step 3: Next select Regular Aadhar or Masked Aadhar as per your choice from the “Select your Preference” section. Masked Aadhar hide your Aadhar number in card.

Step 4: In the next step enter your 14 digits enrolment NO (Ex. 1234/12645/12945) and 14 digit date and time (Ex. 20/12/2018 16:00:56) printed on the enrolment slip.

Step 5: In the next section enter full name and in the next box enter 6 digits PIN CODE.

Step 6: Now enter the human verification code shown in the image. (In this example it is u23zd)

Step 7: Click on Request OTP to get the one time password on your mobile. Alternatively you can select “Yes, I have TOTP. Do not send me OTP.” in case you have m-aadhar mobile app installed in your mobile.

Step 8: Now click on the “I Agree” to provide your personal information for authentication.

Step 9: Click on “Confirm” to send the OTP to your mobile number registered with UIDAI.

Step 10: Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click on “Download Aadhar” option to download the  Aadhar card.

Download E Aadhar card using Virtual ID (VID)

This is the latest edition of the Aadhar organisation i.e. UIDAI. Now you can download E Aadhar using Virtual ID or VID. Follow below steps to download the E Aadhar card.

Step 1: Visit the official website of Aadhar card using https://uidai.gov.in/ and click on the Download Aadhar option.

Step 2: You will be redirected to the E Aadhar site of UIDAI.https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/

Step 3: Select VID option from the “I Have” section.

Step 4: Now select Regular Aadhar or Masked Aadhar as per your choice.

Step 5: In the next steps enter 16 digits VID generated by UIDAI.

Step 6: In the next two boxes enter your full name and area Pincode respectively.

Step 7: For human verification enter the code as per the shown in the image. (In this example it is inox8)

Step 9: Now click on Request OTP option. Alternatively you can click on “Yes, I have TOTP. Do not send me OTP”

Step 10: Now click on the “I Agree” to provide your personal information for authentication.

Step 11: Click on “Confirm” to send the OTP to your mobile number registered with UIDAI.

Step 12: Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click on “Download Aadhar” option to download the  Aadhar card.

Step 13: Once you downloaded E-Aadhar in your system open it using any of the pdf reader.

Step 14: It will ask for password. The password for the pdf file is first four letters of your name in capital and your year of birth. Suppose your name is Rajesh and your year of birth is 1995 then your password is RAJE1995.

Aadhar Card Download by Name and Date of Birth

In case you do not remember the Aadha No or Enrolment ID still you can download E-Aadhar card using name and date of birth. First you need to retrieve your UID or EID and using that you can download the e-aadhar card. Aadhar card download by name and date of birth consist of below steps:

Step 1: Visit Aadhar official website https://resident.uidai.gov.in/find-uid-eid. The below page will open.

Step 2: Now select Aadhar Number(UID) or Enrolment Number(EID) from the left side of the screen.

Step 3: Provide personal details like Full name, Email or Mobile number and Human verification code shown in the image and click on the Send OTP button.

Step 4: Within a second you will receive OTP in your register email address or mobile number as per the choice given.

Step 5: Now enter the OTP you have received in Enter OTP box and click on verify OTP.

Step 6: Now within a second we will receive you Aadhaar number(UID) or Enrolment ID(EID) as per choice given.

Step 7: Now visit to Aadhar website https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/

Step 8: In the next step click on Aadhar or Enrolment ID and select Regular Aadhar.

Step 9: In the next step provide information like Full Name and Area pincode and human verification code as per image shown.

Step 10: Now click and Request OTP.

Step 11: Once you receive the OTP enter into the box and downloaded E-Aadhar and open it using Aadhar password.

Download Aadhar card without registered mobile number

You cannot download Aadhar card online without registered mobile number. You can follow below mentioned steps to get the Aadhar card without registered mobile number.

Step 1: Visit any one of the nearest Aadhar center.

Step 2: Provide the required biometric details like thumb impression verification, retina scan etc.

Step 3: You need to carry any the identity details passport, voter id etc.

Step 4: Get the printout of the Aadhar card.

Step 5: Aadhar canter can charge 50-100 rupees deping upon the type of print out.

How to printout of Aadhar card after download

After downloading the E-Aadhar card from the UIDAI website in pdf format you need 8 characters’ password to open it. The password is combination of first four letter your name in capital and your year of birth.

For example, your name is Sagar and your year of birth is 1990. Then the password will be SAGA1990. Once you open the pdf you can take printout of your Aadhar card.

Important point

  1. Downloaded Aadhar card is 100% legal and can be used instead of the original Aadhar card everywhere.
  2. You can download E-Aadhar any number of times.
  3. Cannot download Aadhar card without register mobile number and OTP.
  4. You can get the Aadhar copy from any of the Aadhar center without registered mobile number.
  5. You can print the Aadhar after providing the 8 characters Aadhar password.
